I was very fortunate to be in Nashville TN for a convention with few photographer friends when we organized a bridal portrait session in Tennessee Central Railway Museum and we moved to a cathedral church for some indoors photographs.

We did not have a chance to shoot an engagement session for Basia and Adrian so we opted for photo session after their wedding. We wanted to do something different for Basia and Adrian that we could not do on their big day because it was dark and raining. So we went to the riding academy and had a beautiful horse to use for some of the photographs, and then we moved to a nearby beach where we started our shoot as a bridal session but ended as trash the dress in the water. We captured great images for Basia and Adrian, here are the few favorites.

It feels like I have not been writing here for a long time. Wait!… Its a fact, I have not been here for a while. End of the wedding season is always the busiest time of the year. Between shooting weddings, engagement sessions, kids portraits, maternity portraits, boudoir sessions and designing albums, printing canvas prints and framing portraits we have our hands full of work. And then winter, which in any year before was slow, this year was full of business travel, conventions and workshops and making great photos. I don’t even know where to pickup the slack with the blog. We are in the full swing wedding season 2010, bookings for 2011 are coming at a steady pace. I’m already excited for the weddings we have booked for 2011, Its going to be a great year. Our studio family is growing larger; two of our 2009 brides are pregnant – Congratulations guys, so I’m excited for them as they embark on a new experiences in their life together. Can’t wait to photograph the kids.
OK, Getting back to the subject…
Flowers
Flowers are pure magic for the senses, their vibrant color, their unique scent, their ability to transform an ordinary space and set the stage for your wedding and lets not forget their romantic significance are key part of your day. From the bridesmaid’s bouquets and groomsman’s boutonnieres to the decorations around the altar or chuppah, flowers will appear everywhere and play a significant role setting a look and style of your event. The flowers need to play with the overall style of your wedding just like the color palette, stationary, accessories and even the dress. The bridal bouquet is the ultimate floral accessory. You want one that compliments your gown.
Flowers for your event need to align with your wedding style. You want to consider their color, size, shape, season and scent. Not all flowers are available year round so if you love a flower so much and have to have it, you need to look at scheduling your wedding when blooms are available or importing them just for your event which requires spending more money. When it comes to bouquets their shape is equally important to the choice of flowers because the shape is what will ultimately establish its look. For ceremony, flowers can be attached to almost anything, they also can be suspended from tree branches or an archway, they can be tied to the columns or placed in a majestic tall vases. From stunning table decorations to fresh blossoms on the wedding cake, receptions are the ultimate floral showcase. Table centerpieces are important focal point. The range of sizes, styles and arrangements is simply a matter of personal taste and design. Centerpieces can be tall and narrow or low and wide but never to obstruct the view.
Its important to remember that a stylish event is not about how many flowers you have but how the blooms enhance your wedding style and overall look of your big day.
Anyway, surround yourself with the flowers you love.

The weather did not want to cooperate with the big plans that Basia and Adrian had for this special Saturday in September.
But that did not stop them from enjoying every moment of it. We couldn’t be happier for the both of them. They truly are perfect together and we were stoked to witness such a beautiful ceremony and incredible celebration.
Since their wedding we also did a bridal shoot with them that turned into trash the dress… just wait till you see the images from that relaxed session.
Please enjoy the pictures from their wedding day.

Even Hurricane Bill could not stop this couple from having the best time ever on their wedding day.
It was dark and gloomy outside, but inside Elwira’s home it was sunny and warm as she prepared for the most important day of her life. She was going to get married today, even with the threat of Hurricane Bill outside.
We met Elwira and Lubo a while back, and ever since then we have grown to love them as a couple. They are young, cheerful, full of energy and simply adorable. When we met for an engagement session we knew that their wedding day will be one to remember.
Their church ceremony was beautiful and emotional, their reception- one of a kind. They must have been in some sort of agreement with Mother Nature, because when the time for portrait session came, we could not ask for a better weather. The skies all around us were dark and gloomy, but the location that they picked for pictures had picture perfect white puffs of clouds and blue skies. It looked as if in some magical way they stopped Hurricane Bill from raining on their parade.
Here are some photos from their day.

We met Ahsaan and Annie thru Hana and Eddie. We shot Hana and Eddie’s wedding 3 years ago and since then, they moved to the west coast and now they have a wonderful little boy (Congrats guys).
Ahsaan and Annie are just an amazing couple. We had a wonderful time shooting their engagement session on the beach. Annie and Ahsaan were relaxed, playful, and full of energy and smiles.
Their wedding day was just as wonderful as they are. We had a great time with their families, friends celebrating their new beginning.
Here are just few pictures from their wedding day.

What do you get when you add together a perfect location, beautiful weather and one of the most amazing couples? Annie and Ahsaan’s engagement session in Robert Mosses State Park in Long Island. We met Annie and Ahsaan earlier this year when they came to see us in our studio. We actually did a wedding for a very close family friend of theirs back in 2007, so it was a very joyful occasion for us to see each other again. Annie and Ahsaan chose a beach setting for their engagement shoot. We spend couple of hours running on the beach, laughing and joking. It felt as if we were photographing our friends. We had an amazing time with them. I could only imagine how fun and enjoyable their wedding will be. Here are some pictures of the wonderful couple.

It was a beautiful Sunday on Staten Island, a perfect day for welcoming a very special boy into God’s family. At merely 6 months old, Dominik was a real trooper. He managed to get thru a lengthy mass, only to be refueled by a bottle of milk on his way to the park. Once in the park, after much desired 10 minute nap, Dominik was a real joy to photograph. He allowed us to put him down on a blankie without destroying the mood, allowed to be carried around from one perfect spot to the next, thrown up in the air in order to get the most precious smile out of him, cuddled, hugged only to be left alone on his floating blanket. Here are some pictures of Dominik and his proud parents.
